Mind Map: Hail the Matriarchy! Greek Mythology Edition
I find it ironic that ancient Greeks were sexist in their philosophy and science about women. Yet, their entire religion was birthed (quite literally) from the very sex they determined to be inferior. We have the great Aristotle educated at the Platonic Academy located in, wait for it, Athens, stating “…the male the ruler, the female the subject,” which I find a bold move to basically insult the sex in the location of whose namesake is a female baddy that could turn you into a pile of sticks and dung. For the most part, Zeus dominates the mythos, but why choose this King of the Gods/ Olympian sex offender to understand the family circle (it ain’t no tree)? I created a Matriarchal Greek Mind Map because, well… The ladies deserve it.
